GEMS Institute of Higher Education from Nepal has been announced as the global winner of the 2018-19 Your World video competition. The winning team along with their teacher will be going to the UK for a week-long summer course. The theme of the competition for this year was the ‘Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds' where A Level partner schools were required to make a video of a social action project that identifies a health issue related to nutrition and exercise along with its effect on a community.

It was very difficult for judges to decide on a global winner from the four regional winners as the standard of videos was exceptionally high this year. In the end they went for the team of students from the GEMS Institute of Higher Education as their video successfully identified the issue affecting the identified community. The video was well organized and successfully articulated a range of issues while using a diversity of people in the making of their short film. The makers of the winning video also demonstrated initiative in starting to live more healthy lives themselves and in doing so inspiring other young people to do the same.

The regional winners are UAE, Nepal, Colombia and Zambia.
