UK Artist Ramesh Meyyappan, as part of the British Council’s Disability Arts work, will be sharing a new set of videos with a closed group of theatre professionals and deaf participants of Nepal. This video session consisting of five episodes—with an average length of eight minutes—features the artist talking about his practice as a deaf performing artist who makes use of visual signs in his work.
The videos also provide key insights into how deaf people can start their journey as theatre practitioners along with how theatre professionals can create more creative and inclusive performances working with deaf artists. The videos will be premiered on 3 and 10 February. In between, Ramesh will be facilitating a masterclass on Visual Language on 6 February for a select group of 10 participants.
