Role overview

Apply for a curatorial grant to help shape the upcoming Women of the World Nepal 2026 Festival.

The British Council is inviting expressions of interest from individuals, groups, collectives and organisations to join the curatorial team for this year’s festival in Kathmandu.

We are looking for bold, creative and collaborative curators who are passionate about arts, culture and gender equality, and who can help develop engaging festival programming that inspires dialogue, creativity and action.

Women of the World Nepal 2026 is an arts and culture festival that celebrates the achievements of girls, women and gender-diverse people, while creating space for meaningful conversations around the challenges they face. The festival brings together artists, activists, experts and communities to explore important issues through performances, discussions, exhibitions, film, workshops and more.

Curators can apply for existing festival strands including exhibitions, talks and panels, performances, marketplace and workshops, and film screenings. We also welcome innovative new ideas that align with the festival’s vision and objectives.

Applicants should have experience in curating or producing arts and culture programmes or activities, with a strong interest in gender-related themes. Applications are open to anyone over 18 with the right to live and work in Nepal.
