The British Council is proud to have supported the National Youth Council in conducting a strategic review of Youth Vision 2025 and in facilitating policy dialogues to shape a new National Youth Vision for Nepal.
On 17 April 2026, the Strategic Review Report and the Youth Strategy Recommendation Paper were officially handed over to the National Youth Council. These documents were developed through a collaborative process grounded in evidence, dialogue, and inclusive participation.
The strategic review examined progress made so far, identified gaps, and highlighted emerging priorities within the current youth framework. Meanwhile, the recommendation paper brings together key insights from extensive multi-stakeholder consultations, including engagement with government representatives, young people, and civil society organisations at both national and sub-national levels.
These outputs mark an important milestone towards the development of a new National Youth Strategic Plan. The National Youth Council will now take forward these recommendations to shape a more inclusive youth vision for Nepal, one that genuinely reflects the voices and aspirations of young people.
