Role overview
British Council
The British Council builds connections, understanding and trust between people in the UK and other countries through arts and culture, education and the English language. We work in two ways – directly with individuals to transform their lives, and with governments and partners to make a bigger difference for the longer term, creating benefits for millions of people all over the world. We help young people to gain the skills, confidence and connections they are looking for to realise their potential and to participate in strong and inclusive communities. We support them to learn English, to get a high-quality education and to gain internationally recognised qualifications. Our work in arts and culture stimulates creative expression and exchange and nurtures creative enterprise.
About the Project
British Council works in the area of youth leadership development. Our ‘Youth for Climate Action (YCA)’ project in Nepal offers Nepalese youth an opportunity to engage in community-level climate action (raising awareness, mitigation and adaptation) to develop their knowledge, skills, and networks to offer better, more impactful, and sustainable solutions to pressing social, economic, and environmental climate-related issues through the engagement of local communities. The British Council is planning to conduct a study to provide evidence and analysis on youth perception and understanding of climate issues and other global challenges concerning youths, and aspirations of youths to take action on these issues.
British Council is seeking proposals from research organizations meeting the eligibility criteria for conducting the study. Please refer to the terms of reference and RFP document for other details from the download section.
