Role overview

British Council has been supporting the Ministry of Education Science and Technology (MoEST) on several areas of school education sector development aligning with the priorities of the Nepal Government’s School Education Sector Plan (SESP). One of the key priorities of SESP is to build capacity at the local government level to support them to manage educational programmes at the basic and secondary school levels.

The overall objective of the assignment is to conduct an assessment of the British Council’s municipality partnership aligning with local context and needs, SESP priorities and British Council priorities to provide learnings from existing partnerships and suggest interventions for new partnerships.

The assignment will be implemented from 24 April 2023 till 31 May 2023. The assignment will primarily be desk-based with field visits to partner municipalities.
