Call for Super Mentor BC-ARMS Nepal
British Council Nepal aims to promote classroom-based research to benefit teaching and learning across the country. The British Council Nepal Action Research Mentoring Scheme (BC-ARMS) will provide small research awards for 10 mentors to facilitate this. These mentors will work with a group of 10 teachers to navigate classroom-based research projects in their local contexts.

Role overview
The Super Mentor will facilitate and coordinate the Nepal-based mentor group by conducting a series of webinars to ensure an alignment of approach to mentoring and the action research process. At the halfway point in the scheme, a virtual meeting will be organised between the mentors to check progress. Various one-to-one calls with the mentors will also be conducted throughout the project period. At the end of the data collection period the super mentor is expected to offer support and guidance to the mentors as they collate their experiences and findings to present in a public forum. On completion of the scheme the super mentor will produce a report on the project in terms of its outputs, successes and challenges.
The Super Mentor’s roles will therefore include the following activities:
- participating and contributing to the mentors’ induction into the scheme
- delivering mentoring activities/webinars to support the needs of the group
- conducting monthly virutal meetings with the mentors
- setting the agenda and delivering sessions for the mid-term virtual meeting
- offering guidance and support to the mentors in their collation of findings and experiences
- submitting a report at the end of the Scheme.
