On 25 November 2020, Rt. Honourable Prime Minister K.P.Sharma Oli presented the "Award of Honour" to Ms. Shahida MacDougall, Country Director, British Council Nepal along with Ambassadors and Head of Development Partners at the inauguration ceremony of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FNCCI) 54th Annual General Meeting.

The appreciation is honoured to the British Council in Nepal for the generous support and cooperation to the FNCCI in joint programmes and projects as well as in the efforts for the socio-economic development of Nepal through private-sector led economic development.

British Council in Nepal over the years has been contributing towards strengthening more effective policies in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector, which is responsive to labour market needs through its Dakchyata project, funded by the European Union. Recently, the British Council signed a grant contract with FNCCI to establish an “Employer Led Labour Market Secretariat” to develop occupational classification standards for the agriculture, construction and tourism sector in Nepal.
